I am an artist and instructor based in Vancouver, BC, drawing inspiration from the natural world, particularly trees and plants. My artistic journey began with mosaic art, which led me to Venice and Ravenna in Italy, where I immersed myself in workshops and the captivating world of mosaics. I spent 5 years teaching mosaic art in Dubai, working on private commissions and participating in exhibitions.
As my art evolved, I discovered a deep passion for oil and watercolour painting, further honing my craft through courses and workshops, including at the renowned Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver.
Alongside my artistic practice, I am a certified Yoga instructor and Reiki Master Practitioner, with a passion for nutrition and a vegan lifestyle.
I guide individuals of all ages, including children, in exploring their creativity through watercolour painting, which offers powerful healing benefits.
Watercolour allows for mindfulness, relaxation, and self-expression, helping to release stress and foster emotional well-being.
I offer both group classes and 1:1 meditative painting experiences that promote healing, creativity, and connection. If you’re in Vancouver, I’d love to connect and see you or your child in one of my classes!
Meet the artist.
“I met Liana in 2008 when I attended her mosaic class at Dubai Art Centre. Liana’s art work is breathtaking! I must say that she has brought an artist in me, and I would always thank her for being there for me whenever I need her professional advice! ”

Our 6 year old daughter recently attended Liana’s water colour painting classes. While our daughter is usually quite reserved and hesitant to try new classes, she absolutely loved this experience! Liana made her feel so comfortable, and as the painting was so relaxing for her, she settled right in. We can’t wait to sign up for another session with Liana as our daughter keeps asking when she can go back! We loved how this experience was not only educational, but also allowed a lot of freedom of creative expression. Thank you Liana!
